Tenant liability insurance protects the policyholder in the event of damages caused by pets to third parties. It applies only when the damage is caused to third parties. For example, if a sofa damaged by a dog belongs to the tenant, the insurance will not cover it.

According to the definition in Tenant liability insurance, pets include dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, parrots, canaries, turtles, aquarium fish, ferrets, chinchillas, gerbils, mice, rats, rabbits, except those kept for breeding or commercial purposes.
