Tenant insurance claim reporting
A claim under tenant liability insurance can be filed by either the insured party (the tenant) or the affected party (the property owner). The claim should be reported within 7 days of occurrence or upon noticing the damage.
Step-by-step reporting guide
- Log in to your simpl.rent account.
- Locate the relevant policy, click the three-dot menu, and select "Report damage".
- Complete the form and attach the required documentation:
- Photos of the damaged property or items.
- A copy of your lease or rental agreement.
- Purchase invoices/receipts (if you have them).
- Any other cost-related documents that help determine the compensation amount (if you have them).
- Send the report: Review your application to ensure all documents are attached, then submit the claim to the insurer.
What happens after submitting a claim?
- You will receive an email confirming that your claim has been received.
- Your claim will be forwarded to the claims department.
- Next, you will receive a unique case number. If additional information is required, an assigned PZU representative will contact you directly.
Please keep in mind that every claim is handled individually. In some cases, a representative may request additional information or documents necessary to resolve the matter efficiently.
