The only rent payment and legal costs insurance on the market

I've been renting out properties for years and never had problems. I found out about rent payment insurance from simpl.rent and PZU from a friend and thought I'd give it a try. It cost 500 PLN a year, but I didn't have to wait long for a return on investment – my tenants just stopped paying out of the blue. Making the claim was incredibly simple. I submitted it on the simpl.rent website and after 14 days the money was in my account. Now, I rely on solid protection.

At the company I worked for we had over 100 rental apartments and found that an occasional lease agreement doesn't always work – especially when tenants flee abroad. Translation costs were enormous and there was no protection. So for my own private property, I took out rent payment insurance to protect myself. The claim formalities were minimal – just a few documents to attach, and the compensation payout was lightning fast. Was it worth it? Absolutely.
