Theperson who will reside in the rented home should be insured. Even if a parent or guardian signs the lease agreement, we recommend including the child in the agreement as the resident. If the resident is a minor, tenant liability insurance can be taken out in the parent's or guardian’s name because the child is considered a household member living with the parent.
