The tenancy agreement is signed under a parent's name. Who should be insured?
The insured should be the person who will reside in the rented apartment. Even if a parent signs the lease agreement, we recommend including the child in the agreement as a resident and user of the premises. If a minor is residing in the apartment, tenant liability insurance can be taken out in the parent’s name since, according to the insurance terms, the child is considered a household member living with the parent.
