What exactly is included in 'contents” and its value?
Contents (movable property) are simply items located in your home/apartment that are not permanently installed or built-in, such as laptops, dishwashers, and furniture. PZU will pay compensation if, for example, thieves break a window in your home and steal jewellery or a computer. Remember that PZU will not pay more for damages than the value you provide, so it's better not to underestimate it.
As a a tip for determining the value of contents: 20,000 PLN is the amount most commonly chosen by other policyholders. You can leave it or specify your own.
If you only insure the contents (without the apartment or house) when purchasing a policy, fixed items will also be included in the insurance. Fixed items are objects that are permanently installed or built-in, such as furniture and household appliances in the structure, installations, mezzanines, plumbing, and intercom.
