Tenant Insurance
Are damages caused by pets covered by the insurance?
Tenant liability insurance protects the policyholder in the event of damage caused by pets to a third party (e.g. the owner). It applies only when the damage is caused to a third party. For example, if a dog damages a sofa that belongs to the tenant, the insurance will not cover it.
According to the definition of tenant liability insurance, pets include dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, parrots, canaries, turtles, aquarium fish, ferrets, chinchillas, gerbils, mice, rats, rabbits, except those kept for breeding or commercial purposes.
